100 Years' War: Guild 102

Welcome to Guild 102. In this lesson, we will be covering on the badge compass feature in 100 Years' War. Upon joining any guild, this badge feature will automatically be available to you. You can get to this badge compass by pressing "C" and clicking on the "Badge" tab.

As you can see, there are three empty sockets in the badge compass. These three sockets are named after the sun, moon and the stars. To these three sockets, we can place any three unique badges from the badge list into the sockets.

For low level badges, there are hardly any requirements for you to use them. For high level badges, however, they will start to demand that the socket and your member level within the guild to be of a certain level. Furthermore, you will need to spend contribution points when slotting badges from the badge list into the sockets.
100 Years War - Upgrading Sunlight Compass Slot
Socket level can be upgraded by selecting the socket that you wish to upgrade and then clicking on the "Up" button. You will need some contribution points and some silvers to do the upgrade.
100 Years War - Guild Membership Level
As for member level, you will need to visit Canal in Orleans and do guild quests in order to raise this.

When you upgrade a socket, you will "enhance" the effect of the badge that is slotted in it.
  • Sunlight compass
When you upgrade this socket to its highest level, you can enhance the effect of the badge in this socket by 200%.
  • Moonlight compass
When you upgrade this socket to its highest level, you can enhance the effect of the badge in this socket by 100%.
  • Star compass
When you upgrade this socket to its highest level, you can enhance the effect of the badge in this socket by 50%.
What this means is that if you spent a lot of contribution points and silvers to max all the three sockets, a level 1 badge of wilderness (which increases physical critical strike rating by 13) will instead increase your physical critical strike rating by 39 if placed in the sunlight compass socket, by 26 if placed in the moonlight compass socket and by 19.5 if placed in the star compass socket.

If the guild is still relatively new, the badges you can use are limited and of low level. To open more of the badges, the guild master will need to spend resources into upgrading the badge tower and the individual badges. Naturally, badges of a higher level will give more bonus to the stat that it boosts.
