League of Legends

League of Legends is an action RTS, made by Riot Games, which is kind of like DotA and yet is not.
Lots of champions to choose...each with their unique abilities
Players get to choose from a plethora of champions and duke it out in a classic 3 vs 3 or 5 vs 5, 3 lane corridor map.
The three lanes: Top, Middle & Bottom
Alternatively, players can also choose to work together and fight against enemy AIs (bots).
Storming the enemy nexus
Like DotA, players in League of Legends must assist friendly units in destroying the opposing force's turrets, pushing forward to ultimately destroy their nexus.
Shopping for items to strengthen your champion
The usual DotA creeping and denying applies to League of Legends as well. The utmost priority of champions is to level, get gold, buy items to upgrade themselves and prevent the opposing champions from doing so.
Die, and you feed your opponent gold and exp (which is a bad idea)
Dying should be avoided at all costs!

For players who are new to the game, doing the tutorial is highly recommended. It first starts off with the basic movement and controls, followed by attacking mobs and using skills.
Moving your champion
Next in line comes the champions, runes, masteries and spells selection in the lobby interface.
Champion selection
Runes to customise your champion
Masteries to strengthen your champion
Spells to support your champion

And finally, the tutorial finishes with a mock battle between you, your bots and the enemy bots.
Victory or defeat? You choose!
If you like DotA, then you should give this game a try.
